If you are a snow lover there is no better place to be than at WHL. We are located directly on ITS 86 between Millinocket in the Katahdin region, and Kokadjo in the Moosehead region. Access to our camps is by snowmobile only. We groom and mark a trail down Pemadumcook Lake, so access is quick and easy. If you would prefer a woods trail instead, there is a way from Abol Bridge on the Golden Road. Just follow ITS 86 west.

Whitehouse Landing also grooms 90+ miles of the states trail system. Last year we purchased a Pisten Bully trail groomer with a Mogul Master drag. A large investment indeed. But one we felt we had to make to ensure quality trails around us. This region now boasts seven new Pisten Bully's with Mogul Master drags! The towns and businesses are taking charge of grooming and it shows! The scenery in the Katahdin region can't be beat in the entire state. The terrain varies, and from numerous locales you catch views of the majestic Mt. Katahdin.

Our guests have the advantage of uncrowded early morning riding on white pavement. Come check it out.

If ice-fishing is your preferred way of freezing to death, take a good look at our location on a map. There are numerous trophy waters within minutes of the lodge. We have some ice shacks available for those who bring their dogs. Or you can fish from the cabin, sitting next to the wood stove in your long johns! In the main lodge we offer a winter menu featuring breakfast - lunch stews - chili and chowder. Hot and hearty for sure. (tums available at the counter).

The cabins are fully equipped with everything you'll need to cook your own meals if you are a do-it-yourselfer.

If you don't own a snowmobile, but would like to try it before buying one of these money guzzlers, they are available for rent nearby. Guides are also ready to assist you on a worry free ride. This is a great way to get off the beaten path for some true quality riding. No matter what your pleasure, WHL will do all we can to make sure your trip is everything you hope for.
