Some trails in Aroostook are converted railroad beds, while others may traverse a power line up and over large rolling hills that capture the picturesque beauty of the landscape. Summer roads, abandoned logging roads and other club trails lead the snowmobiler to spectacular sites of snow-laden spruce maple and birch forests. You can snowmobile over the crest of a hill and look out at the variety of terrain "The County" has to offer.

Bridges cross the many streams that remain open, and you come upon them often as you weave through the splendid forest on your way to a hot and hearty homemade meal. Enjoy direct snowmobile access throughout the County to lodging, restaurants, convenience stores, fuel. and snowmobile parts and service.

The snowmobile clubs in Aroostook County develop and maintain their trails with the latest equipment. The responsibility for maintaining over 1,600 miles of trails is shared among 42 snowmobile clubs! Members of these clubs put in countless volunteer hours to keep the County's trail system in top notch condition for riding. We strongly encourage all trail users to help support the trail system by joining the northern Maine club of their choice. Please inquire about club membership at any clubhouse or Chamber of Commerce.

Riding conditions are good to excellent from December through March in the County with many sunny days and 20 plus degree temperatures. Riding in a snowfall is magical; and on a clear night you will see more stars than you thought possible. The winter night sky frequently dances with the northern lights. Well marked trails make finding what you want as easy as traveling down a familiar home town road! Folks are friendly and we think you'll agree that there is no better combination of conditions for the snowmobiler than what you'll find staying with us.

To get to Aroostook County from the south, take I-95 north. Exits 58, 59, 60 and 61 will take you to Patten, Island Falls, Oakfield and Smyrna Mills, respectfully. The interstate ends at Houlton and U.S. Route #1 heads further north. From Quebec Canada, the border can be crossed at St. Pamphile, Quebec. From New Brunswick, Canada, you may enter at Houlton, Van Buren, or numerous other towns. Additional border crossing information is listed in our trail map.

I was born in Texas and raised on a farm; most of my free time was spent hunting. I was always respectful of wildlife and nature and knew at a young age I wanted to be a guide. I only hunted what was to be eaten or animals that needed to be hunted because of the threat to livestock and people.

If you book your hunt with us and you have taken your trophy, coyote hunts are on us. As a guest we will treat you like you are kinfolk. Respect for others, respect for wildlife and respect for nature go a long way.
