Welcome to the Black River Guiding web site. We are a full service Guiding and Lodging business, specializing in making sure your hunt is successful. We specialize in bear hunting, deer hunting, moose hunting and grouse hunting. We also offer snowmobiling cabins, and there is snow in the Allagash until mid April most every year. We have some of the most beautiful trails in the County, and they lead directly to our cabins.

We provide canoe rentals, and we will provide transportation to and from all points on the Allagash Wilderness Waterway and the St. John River.

Fishing

The Allagash region is known for it's many rivers, lakes, & streams that offer fishermen different scenery and fishing opportunities. We have excellent brook trout fishing as well as togue & salmon. Angling opportunities in this region are virtually without number in summer or winter. Come enjoy some of the best fishing, scenery and wildlife in the entire country.

There is a well groomed, marked trail that leads from our camps to the main trails. The St. John Valley is rated among the top three trail-riding regions in all of North America. Easy access to food, gas and service from the trails. Trail maps available.

Jan Soucy is a native of the Allagash. He is a master guide who has lived and worked in the Allagash all his life.
