June 28, 2010 - July 25 - 'Tales from Ancient India' exhibit to be held at the UMFK Blake Library Gallery
"Everyone has a story to tell. From the young to the old, the learned to the ignorant, man or woman, everyone has a tale to narrate. Even you do. These tales can be many years old, or from just the other day. No matter how short, how old, how insignificant, a tale is a tale, and should be told," notes Bhava Albert, local artist.

She also has a story to tell. But rather than indulge in her own experiences, Albert would much prefer to delve into her very own exhibition entitled, Tales of Ancient India. The exhibit will be display through the month of July at the University of Maine at Fort Kent's Blake Library Gallery. The exhibit can be viewed during regular library hours. For more information on the exhibit, contact Sofia Birden, gallery curator, at 834-7527. Website: http://www.umfk.maine.edu/infoserv/library/about/exhibit/default.cfm

July 29 - August 1, 2010 - University of Maine at Fort Kent's Summer Theatre presents 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'
A Midsummer Night's Dream tells the story of four lovers who each want someone who they can't have. The play also tells the stories of two betrothed rulers from different worlds looking forward to their honeymoon, a group of clumsy actors trying to put on a "tragic" play for their Duke's upcoming wedding, and the marital quarrels of two omnipotent beings, whose conflicts wreak havoc on both the weather and those around them. All of this craziness is tied together by a mischievous imp. Most of the play takes place on one crazy night in the woods. The play performance will take place in the Fox Auditorium. Thursday, Friday and Saturday performances will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday's performance will be at 2 p.m. Please contact Aaron Bernstein, producer, by phone at (207) 834-7893, by e-mail at: aaronb@maine.edu or on the UMFK Summer Theater Facebook page.
